A reddit comment claimed that Venture Homes in Georgia demanded $42,000 more for their home or risk cancelation. “Signed Jan 15th with Venture homes in GA. Expected completion was mid-late September. They have just asked for a $42k increase or I lose the house. Disgustingly, the $42k increase also includes a provision allowing them to raise the price again another 10% (+$57k!) before closing should they choose to. I haven’t accepted the amendment yet as it is borderline crazy to me. They had already increased the base price $30k 2 weeks prior to me signing.” (Reddit, 6/15/2021)
